A160 Hummingbird UAV - Military Designation: YMQ-18A- The Boeing Company | Phantom Works

MILCO Waterjet was asked by The Boeing Company to help manufacture an aluminum flat panel Sub frame for their Phantom Works division. The Hummingbird is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) helicopter. These particular helicopters’ design and infrastructure incorporates new technologies that have pushed the boundaries never before used in helicopters. The hummingbird is used for greater endurance and operating flight altitude than any other helicopter currently in operation. This job was water jet cut with a 24hour turnaround time, out of 2 panels of 4’x 8’ 6061-T6 Aluminum. Boeing was pleased to have their parts received within the allotted expedite timeframe and well within print tolerance.
