The abrasive WaterJet is an excellent alternative to laser cutting. If the tolerance is +/- .005 inch or greater our Waterjet machines can work for you instead of the laser cutting. Unlike the laser cutting, the Waterjet machines feature lower overall costs that are achieved by faster production rates and optimal part positioning and nesting to reduce material waste and part handling. No distortion and no stresses are imparted to the material while producing a superior surface edge quality with minimal burr. The WaterJet cut will function with no heat; the molecular structure of the material remains unaltered. This makes Waterjet the optimal process for rough machining as opposed to the laser.
